WEBOMETRICS by UNIRANKS is a public higher-education digital ranking project developed and operated by UNIRANKS. It evaluates the digital performance and visibility of higher-education institutions worldwide across three principal dimensions: Impact, Openness, and Excellence.

The public WEBOMETRICS ranking is free to access and covers more than 30,000 institutions across over 200 countries, giving students, researchers, and institutions a clear, comparative view of digital academic performance.

Alongside the public ranking, UNIRANKS provides additional institutional services:

• Growth Intelligence (GI) — deeper institutional analytics, benchmarking, and recommendations that help institutions understand and improve their digital performance.
• Open Index (OI) — research intelligence focused on scholarly output and openness.

Access to Growth Intelligence (GI) does not affect WEBOMETRICS ranking calculations and does not guarantee any ranking improvement. Ranking results are determined solely by the public WEBOMETRICS methodology.
